Former National Intelligence Director tapped for top intelligence role amid praise for his integrity and stance on key political issues
President-elect Donald Trump announced on Tuesday that he has selected John Ratcliffe, a former Texas congressman and former Director of National Intelligence, to lead the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA). The appointment places Ratcliffe back into the executive branch of government, where he will be tasked with overseeing the CIA’s operations and further shaping the U.S.’s intelligence community.

Never,” Ratcliffe stated during his confirmation hearings.
